Christmas Greetings from Brazil,
Anair will soon be 80 years old and she just memorized her first Bible verse. Diabetes has almost completely taken away her vision, but in November she professed faith in Christ and now she wants to be baptized. She and another lady who live in a residential care facility have been going to church with us for a few weeks.

We are thankful to God for this recent blessing and for the opportunities which we have had throughout the year to serve Him. I spoke over one hundred times in fourteen churches and two youth outreaches in four states. Rena accompanied me on each of these meetings. I believe there were as many as eight professions of faith in Christ and other public indications of desire for spiritual renewal.
At the Bible Institute we were glad to have concluded another year with graduation ceremonies taking place on November 26. During the year Rena rendered significant time as receptionist, snack-shop manager, piano teacher and part-time school photographer. I served another year as treasurer, Christian Service director and had the privilege to teach nearly two-hundred classes to some of Brazil’s most dedicated young Christians.
From December 1st until mid-February of 2011, I will serve as interim pastor of Victory Baptist Church while Missionaries Ed & Jan Alexander take a short furlough. Pray that God will enable me to keep leading the church towards the goal of having a Brazilian pastor. Our needs are basic: a great passion for God and His people, and dedication to preaching His Word powerfully to edify the church and point sinners to saving faith in Jesus Christ.
Thank you very much for your financial gifts and your prayers. May God give you a blessed Christmas and a fruitful New Year for His glory.
Sincerely in Christ,
Johnny & Rena Nunley
