On February 24 we had what could be called a last chapter/first chapter sort of day. That morning was our last service at Victory Baptist Church and that evening was our first service at Berean Baptist Church. Here are a few scenes from both chapters... We will be at this church during the month of March before we give them our final answer as to whether we will stay. Please pray for us as we seek His will in this. Pray, too, for them as they recover from some recent problems.

That would be Vacation Bible School...except it wasn't, since it took place during the school year. On 2 weekends in October, a total of 4 days, an Escola Bíblica Infantil was held at Victory Baptist Church. Attendance wasn't as high as in past years, the most we had was 30 on the first day. But things went well, the children enjoyed it and so did all of our many helpers! The crowning touch was that 2 adolescents made professions of faith in Christ. That one positive outweighed any negatives that may have been there.
Here are several photos from those 4 days. Click on them to see the close-up and caption. It's been awhile since we've taken the time to post news, do forgive us! Don't know where the time goes around here... At one point we were delayed for several minutes... ...because of this accident 5 or 6 kilometers in front of us. We finally turned onto the dirt road that led to Imbuial, a small farming community out in "the boonies". We were excited to see the new church and really liked what we saw there on our left... ...a very beautiful wooden building! Next we went to the house just behind it where a group of 30+ people from the 1st Baptist Church in Portão were gathered to help celebrate the occasion. Here are more scenes from the day... Preparations being made... Scenes from the inauguration service. What a blessing! Forgive our posting so many photos but...we had so many photos to post. *smile*
